The other day I was devastated to find the BBC are not making a new series of Snuffbox. I'm sure the shows fans won't stand for this and we'll find some way to force them to in the end. It truely is a tragedy as it was one of the funniest things I had seen in years.

If you've never heard of Snuffbox it was A dark BBC Comedy series starring Matt Berry And Rich Fulcher as the hangman and his assistant. If you aren't too aren't too easily offended watch the clip from the show above, which contains profanity and cruelty to stuffed animals.

And here's a Gazoo for all the Blogazoo members.

Update- Have just heard there is anothe Berry Fulcher series planned, it just might go under a different name. I hope it contains the same characters however, as the first series ended on a cliff hanger.

Ouch. I love offensive series far too often - 'Family Guy' is my favourite - but I never, ever find jokes about hurting animals funny. They don't offend me, I don't get uptight about them, they just seem a bit... obvious, really. Like flashers in the park or a politician towing the line, there's nothing surprising about such jokes.

Doing gags that involve throwing, kicking or microwaving animals all seem a bit... Well, they seem old-hat, more in tune with Jim Davidson and Hale & Pace. Very 1980s.

Plus, I guess cartoons can get away with these things more for me than live action. Still, sorry you've lost a series you enjoyed; I still have my moments of pining for Buffy and Angel. Have you see The Smoking Room on BBC3? That's hilarious! x
