Baby Pigeons

As promised here is a picture of the baby pigeons in my window box, I had to use my mobile phone camera as my digital one has given up the ghost after a long service. Now lines appear all across any pictures taken in the sunlight for some reason.
I've got some nice photo's of sunsets on the beach I've just taken off my phone, I'll share some on here when I've sorted them out.

4 Days Without Smoking

I've now gone 4 days without smoking and am starting to feel the benefits, didn't post on days 2 and 3 as there wasn't much to report really.

The past 2 nights I have dreamt that I smoked and been really annoyed about it which is strange, but during my waking hours I have managed to resist temptation.

Now I've just got to stick to my diet and try and lose some weight. I want to lose one or two stone as the doctors say my weight is OK for my height, but I have a "muffin top" in size 12 jeans now and there's no way I want to go out and buy new size 14 jeans!

Pigeons have laid eggs in my window box again, didn't realise they bred twice in a year. I think these two may be the two or at least one of the babies from the last eggs. I will definitely post pictures when the eggs hatch, there are two again.

Pigeon nesting in my window box has delayed the planting of my tomatoes, Typical.

Quick note to blog explosion members, the numbers appear to be working again, so get in and surf while you can!
Most of my Tumbling Tom's are ready to go out now but the ones I was going to plant in my window box this year are being held up. As a charming pigeon family has moved in to last years window box I hadn't emptied yet.

This has delayed the installing of my newer bigger window box which should be full of tumbling toms by now. which is annoying but also quite cute, We think this one is the male one and I'll try to get a picture of the female one and the two eggs when they are off the nest. A lot of people hate pigeons and it's true they can cause disease with their faeces but I couldn't shoo them away when they made there nest there.

Tonight I've re potted all my chilli's too which can be seen at the front, and at the back more chilli's and the Tomato plants that have to go out. That's not all the tomato plants I have either there's more in the kitchen that will need re potting soon. You can also see my "grow your own tree kit" I got from amnesty internationals Christmas catalogue, 4 have come up. They are Silver Birches, I'll just have to find somewhere to plant them when they are big enough which won't be for a while.
I'm trying to get my costume for the renaissance faire done in time but I don't have enough fabric to make the skirt or the sleeves at the moment so we'll have to see what happens. Were stony broke at the moment but I might be able to afford to get 2 more metres of fabric before the event but that's only 9 days away now. Check out the Ren fest site here if you're interested.

Baby Pigeons Growing

The two baby pigeons outside my bathroom window are getting bigger, and their parents don't sit on them so much now so you can see them a bit better.
The gardening is all going fine except for a bit of a problem with black fly on my tomatoes, I'm hoping it won't get so bad I need to use chemicals. If anyone knows of any natural remedies I could use on Black Fly please let me know. On the indoor side of my garden the chilli's are coming along well I can just about see one forming on one of the Satan's kiss plants and the others are growing well and starting to flower.

It's hard to pick up the chilli's that are starting with the camera as it blurs that close up, but where you can see the flowers going brown is where they are growing now. I still have way too many cauliflower plants despite giving loads away and planting 6 out yesterday, I'm going to have to have to go out in search of wasteland to plant them on if this continues.
