Plants Doing Well

The Tomatoes are doing well and I have now have a good few "Satan's Kiss" chilli plants too, the picture of above is of a few of them n the left are the Tomatoes and on the right are the Chilli's.

I've used Cut down 2 pint milk containers mainly as pots for the plants as they get bigger as I've found they are an ideal size, and of course they are free and it's recycling.

I'm keeping the tops of the milk containers too to use as frost protectors for some pea's I've sown outside I'll post about how well that works when it happens.

My AStore.

I've had an AStore for a couple of years now (you can see the widget in my sidebar) and have mainly had pagan books in it, I've decided to extend the range to what potions and oils Amazon sells and a section on herbal medicine. Also because I'm posting quite a bit about gardening now I intend to start a gardening books section and I've also just acquired some home wine making equipment so I will probably post about how that goes and start a section for wine making books too.

Please take a look at the store if you have time and remember you don't just have to buy things form the store you can search the whole of Amazon through it and buy whatever you want.

My chances of surviving a Zombie apocalypse seem very slim sadly, so lets hope Venus never makes the dead walk again (it was so loopy I never can remember the exact reason they came up with for the dead coming back to life, but it was something to do with Venus anyway).
And we must ensure all rage infected monkeys stay locked firmly in their cages if 28 days later comes true.

My Alexa Ranking Is Slowly Improving

Thanks to everyone who has given me a link on their blogs, though the number of links in since installing my Alexa Widget has been at 31 permanently my Rank is improving so it must be counting them. My Google Page Rank is still at zero hopefully that will follow in rising since the blog has become more active again and I'm listed in a few directories.

I also found out from someone who commented here that the way Alexa Ranks are decided has changed too it's not only down to toolbar users activity on your site so I have some hope at least.

I'll finish by posting this photo of Me and Justin Hawkins with my friend Roger taken when we met him after the Hot Leg Gig I went too at the Wedgewood rooms. He's a really nice bloke he even gave Roger a bottle of water while they were performing because he was sweating at the front and asked for some water, which I found quite touching, as I've seen people passing out from dehydration at gigs and being carried over the barriers and the artist doesn't even blink. In fact we probably would have died of dehydration on the way home if he hadn't given us the water as we had no money at all, we had to beg the people behind us in the que for pennies just to get on the ferry. Then we had to walk 2 miles to the venue me in these stupid stilletto heels you wouldn't belive could be so painful to look at them, then stand for the gig and walk back 2 miles to the ferry terminal. We then found we'd missed the 1am one so had to wait until 3am in the terminal, and when we finally got back we had to walk about 4 miles back from fishbourne to Ryde. So thanks again for the water Justin. :)

Happy friday The 13th

Update for 2012: There have been three Friday the 13ths this year and this one (July 13th) is the last one, to mark this I thought I would update the post with some Friday the Thirteenth facts and new Friday 13th Images.

  • Fear of Friday the 13th is known as  paraskavedekatriaphobia or friggatriskaidekaphobia
  • Alfred Hitchcock was born on Friday the 13th
  • For Pagans 13 is a lucky number as it corresponds to the number of full moons in a year.
  • Fear of Friday the 13th Goes Back To Nordic Mythology, as many of the thirteenth Gods died violent deaths.
  • For The Ancient Romans Thirteen was a number of death destruction and misfortune.

I'm going to A concert tonight in Portsmouth It's the new band of "The Darkness's" lead singer Justin Hawkins. They are called Hotleg. I've been looking forward to it for ages hopefully I will be able to get a picture to go in my photo collage below the Blogs title to go next to the one of me and Nigel Kennedy. (The one where I look really drunk and the man looks really drunk and is leaning towards me, yes that is Nigel Kennedy).
So lets hope the ferry doesn't sink on the way across the water as it's Friday the 13th, though remember in numerology 13 is actually a lucky number.

The Isle Of Wight Community Renaissance Festival

I've been working on my costume for the Islands first Renaissance festival all day it's actually looking better than I thought it would, I'm making a peasant girl dress as everyone else is doing lady or fairy costumes. My sewing machine has given me a few problems but it seems to be working OK now, it's a really old hand operated singer sewing machine and the bobbin winder has stopped working altogether. I'll be sure to post plenty of pictures of it when it's done.

The renaissance festival is being organised by the "Ryde East Community Association" based at the Park centre in high park road Ryde. I'm doing a workshop there every Wednesday working on this years carnival project too which is an "Alice Wonderland" theme which will be fun this week I'm going to be making giant paper mache flamingo's.

The Renaissance Festival is going to be held on 24th May 2009 at Smallbrook Stadium , we are going to try and make it look like a castle and there will lots of different area's including a market and an enchanted realm, kids kingdom and the Arena where there will music dance and other entertainment. If this one is successful we will try to organise one every year so support it if you can by coming along. To find out more visit the website here.

Neil Young To Headline IOW festival 2009.

They've announced the festival line up for this year and Neil Young will headline on the Sunday Night, Razorlight will be playing on Saturday night too it says and the stereophonics have been confirmed.
I was pleasantly surprised to hear it was Neil Young this year he is a legendary singer song writer and I like a lot of his work. In the "County Press" our local newspaper the organiser says he's been trying to book him every year since the festival began again, and this year he has finally got him. I hope I make it to see him as he's one of the acts I've always wanted to see live but haven't.
The festivals website this year is better too you can follow the festival on Twitter now and there's a mailing list to sign up to, click here to see it.
And I'm still looking for other blogs to do a link exchange with, if anyone is interested please add me to your blogroll and leave a comment and I'll add you to mine.

Potted On The Tomatoes, And Link Exchanges Wanted.

The tumbling tom seeds I planted have come on well so I put them into their own pots, I need to do the same with the gardeners delight seeds I've planted too but don't have enough containers yet. I used cut down 2 pint milk containers to pot on the tumbling toms mainly I'll be using them and yoghurt pots for the Gardeners Delight.

I've also just cleaned up my blogroll and would like to exchange links with a few people if you're interested leave me a comment with a link to the blog you want me to add to my blogroll and I'll add it.
