Lavender and Wisteria.

I don't even have the key to my new place yet which is annoying since I've fully paid up the deposit etc. I ordered some lavender seeds from ebay and planted them the other day when they arrived for my new garden. As soon as anything happens I'll post pictures, though they are supposed to be quite hard to get right so wish me luck.

There's a huge wisteria plant that was swamping the front of the place that I've had to cut back. After doing this I found it had wrapped itself all round the TV aerial cable, so I'm going to need a ladder to unwrap it.

I want try growing some more herbs including catnip chamomile and Rosemary I'll keep you informed on how I do.

I've also recenly started a course in "witchology" and have been learning about some greek witches, so I make a post about them soon.

What are you really like inside?

anime girl, sorrow, empty
You are a SORROWFUL person.
Although you may seem completely happy on the

outside(or not), you are actually breaking on

the inside. Perhaps it is because you have

been wronged in the past? Or it might simply

be that you are lonesome or misunderstood.

Your eyes hold a great amount of sadness no

smile can lift, and it is that which

identifies you as a depressed person. You

might not cry that often in public, but it

does happen behind closed doors.

Your traits:
*Depression
*Sorrow
*Intuitive
*Imaginative
*Compassionate
*Solitary
*Sensitivity

Your Color: Gray/ Light blue/ Black
Your Quote: "Behind this smile is everything

you'll never understand."

Busy Days.

Sorry for the lack of posts recently I've been busy as I am moving. And in this month between sabbats there's not much to post about.

I've found an ebay store that sells pagan moulds for soap and plaster of paris. There are also some nice garden plaques including one that says "grow you buggers grow". I've got my eye on a few, and would definitely like to do some pentacle soaps.

I plan to start a herb garden in my new place, I've found places to order seeds including this ebay store and this site stocks valerian seeds.

I'm going to grow catnip and lavender and chamomile to start with and maybe some rosemary. I have two bits of garden one at the front and one at the back. In the front there's a big Wisteria bush I've had cut down to the bottom window level. It had grown right up to the roof of the cottage. It's wound itself round the TV aerial cable so I'm going to have to get a ladder to untangle it.

The Forest Pagan Community

I found this fantastic community for pagans on the banner exchange at the bottom of my blog. There's a link in the post title and in my sidebar. There's a forum and loads of fun things associated with it, you earn points you can purchase things like pets and blinkys that appear with your posts with. There's a also a button in the sidebar that needs clicking if you like my site or it will have a terrible ranking in the pagan forest top sites list.

They also offer blogs and free web hosting and templates without ad's I'm thinking of starting a site to centralise and preserve what I'm posting here. After all these archives are only saved for a year or something.

The other members are friendly and the forum is active, there's a book of shadows with some interesting spells and potions, you can even set up a personal altar I've done mine already. I'm already addicted to this place and would love to bring them some new members. It's Well worth a look if you are a fellow Pagan looking for other pagans on the internet. There are people from the UK there too so it's not just for the Americans.

They have there own banner exchange too, sadly I've no more room for banners or I'd take part. The list of things on offer goes on and on, in one of the forums (The Cauldron) there's a link to download for a piece of software that sits in your system tray and tells you the phase of the moon. It's really useful I downloaded it.

I hope I get some new members to sign up and blessed be to all my readers.

The Truth about Valentines Day.

What we now know as "Valentines Day" was the eve before an ancient Roman festival called "Lupercalia" the festival of Lupercus the god of fertility. It was dedicated to the Goddess Juno the queen of the Gods and patron of marriage. The name of the day was changed later and attributed to a Christian Saint.

On this day girls wrote their names in jars and the boys picked one out. The two were then paired for the duration of the Lupercalia festival, and this often resulted in lasting relationships. Sounds like fun, a bit like spin the bottle. Of course later Christians had to spoil it by replacing the girls names with the names of Saints.

The thread title is a link to Witchologys page on the subject if you’d like to read more, blessed be!

Need More Ad-Sense clicks?

Just a quick post for anyone else who uses Ad-Sense, there's a traffic exchange for us now, we all visit each others sites and click each others ads if they are of interest.

I've been pleased with the results and would recommend it to anyone else who has Ad Sense or any other pay per click ads on their site, it would be good to see some more bloggers on there.

You don't surf as such you just click links and there's a short timer that counts down while you read the ads and decide whether to click them. If you're interested click the banner above or here.

Answer to a question about the doll on my altar.

The post title is a link to a good page giving lots of information about Brigid the celtic godess the doll represents, she's the Goddess of child birth and healing amongst many other things.

If I'd had the materials I could have made one out of straw as is traditional and she should have a wand tipped with an acorn (mine isn't yet, just a plain wand) as a fertility symbol. She is dressed as a bride waiting for the sun god Lugh to return, that is why she is in bed.

I have also joined a pagan banner exchange and the only place I could put the banners was in my footer, so please take a look at them and give them a click if you see anything of interest.

My Altar at Imbolc

I managed to find a yellow candle and you can just about see the doll in her brides bed, I did also put some milk and bread outside as an offering, as well as leaving a ribbon to be blessed (it can later be used for healing purposes. As I said earlier hopefully I'll have more money next year, and be able to get the ingredients for the recipes I had planned.

Imbolc Update.

Financial difficulties have meant I haven't been able to buy any of the supplies necessary to make the imbolc food I wanted to today, so I'll just have to do it all next week.

I will however be leaving milk and bread outside tonight and lighting as many candles as I can throughout my flat. I'll also dress up one of my doll collection for the brides bed, I never was able to get the materials to make a straw doll either, but it's not essential anyway, any doll will do.

I'll take some pictures later of the things I have been able to do, Happy Imbolc and blessed be!
