I'm at it again, autosurfing that is.

This is not an advertising blog and is not about to become one so don't worry, but having said that I'm just trying to start earning a living from home so would like to make this one post about auto surf sites.

I used auto surf sites before to try and make some money but gave up quickly as I took on too many sites at once, I've started again with just Studio Traffic 4 daily and Surf Junky. all these sites have a good reputation so I'm looking to build a downline with all of them, if anyone wants to sign up under me please do.

It's remarkably easy to do and you really can make a substantial amount of money with very little effort on your part, just an hour or so a day spent surfing traffic exchanges. The added bonus is you can also promote your own website while you earn, I promote this blog and the traffic exchanges I use.

If your unfamiliar with auto surf sites they are basically like manual traffic exchanges but you don't click anything, and the ones that pay you require you surf a minimum number of sites a day to earn money. Studio Traffic requires the most sites with 200 a day, 4 Daily only requires 40.

They can afford to pay you for this because they encourage people to upgrade, though you never have to upgrade you just earn money faster if you do, with studio traffic you start out with $10 in your account and you earn one percent of that a day, if you upgrade you obviously earn more and your earnings compound every month.

4 daily pays you 4 percent of your account level so your earnings build up quicker you just keep upgrading with your earnings until your earning enough every month to keep most of it. It takes a bit of patience but you can end up earning thousands a week from both of these sites.

Surf Junky is another autosurf site that pays you 45 cents an hour to run an auto surf screen in internet explorer, and that's just for starters you earn activity points which make your hourly earnings go up and they pay you when you reach $25. This one pays the most without ever asking you to upgrade, so sign up today I've already earned nearly $17. Blessings to anyone who does sign up under me at any of these sites.

Eclectic Wiccans

I joined a wiccan web ring called "Ecclectic by Tradition" at the end of last year you may have noticed the code at the bottom of the page, I'm still waiting in the approval que, but today I went and looked at the rest of the sites in the ring. I found some really good ones I'd like to share with you.

The Eclectic Wiccan has some recipes including one with a spell (Witch Bread) as well as lots of good links and a worrying article about lead candle wicks that is worth reading. It is a Geo Cities site but has a lovely layout and background.

NOMICON: the Complete book of Wiccan names contains loads of valuable information, infact a complete guide to choosing a craft name. I haven't chosen one myself yet so will be using this site myself, it's well laid out and easy to read.

All One Wicca offers a huge online book about Wicca that is very informative and I'll certainly be reading it later. Here's a Gazoo for everyone on who finds me surfing blogazoo.

BBC NEWS | Politics | Blair defends benefits shake-up

I have mixed feelings about the proposed changes to incapacity benefit as I am a recipient technically, though I don't get the money I only get income support because of my national insurance credits. At the bottom of the article linked in the title a representative from "Sane" voices her concerns that this will make mentally ill people on benefits symptoms increase, if I'm forced onto a back to work scheme mine certainly will.

I'm on incapacity for social anxiety depression and insomnia, I'd love to be able to work but have trouble meeting strangers so need to work from home. I've searched long and hard for genuine work from home opportunity but all require some initial cash outlay I can't afford.

I'd like to get paid to write or read but even these opportunities seem to require payment of some type of fee for training materials etc. I do voluntary editing for Britblog which I can at least give as experience when applying for paid positions.

I don't know what these proposed "back to work" schemes will be all about but if they're anything like the governments other attempts at them they are sure to be useless. I'll just have to continue my hunt for paid work on the web I can afford to start.

Imbolc recipes

I’ve found some recipes for imbolc that sound very good.

Ewe-L" Love This Potato Soup

2 oz butter/margarine
1 clove garlic, crushed
2 medium onions, peeled
Salt & pepper (to taste)
3 large potatoes, peeled
1 sprig thyme, bay leaf, and bunch parsley
2 pints milk
Chopped chives to garnish

Melt butter in a large pan and add thinly sliced potatoes and onions. Toss well in the butter. Put a lid on the pan and allow the vegetables to simmer over a low heat for about 10 minutes. Don't let the vegetables turn brown. Add the milk and all other ingredients, except for the chives, and simmer for about 30 minutes. Remove thyme, bay leaf, and parsley. Pour soup into food processor or blender (on chop) for about 1 minute. Pour into soup bowls and garnish with chives. Makes 6 servings.

Imbolc Feast Lamb Stew

2- 1/2 lb. lamb neck chops
1 tbs. lamb fat
4 medium onions
1 tbs. butter/margarine
4 medium carrots
2 1/2 cups water
4 medium potatoes
1 tbs. parsley, chopped
1 tsp. each salt & pepper
1 tbs. chives, chopped

Don't let the butcher trim the fat off of the lamb chops. Shred some of the excess fat and cook it down in a large pot or Dutch-oven. Peel the onions, carrots, and potatoes. Cut the onions and carrots into quarters, and put all the vegetables aside. Cut the meat into8 pieces, and trim away the rest of the excess fat. The bones need not be removed. Place the meat in the hot fat and brown. Repeat with the onions and carrots. Add water, salt, and pepper carefully. Put whole potatoes on top. Cover pot and simmer gently until meat is cooked, approx. 2 hours. Remove from heat. Pour off the cooking liquid into a separate sauce pan, allow to cool for a few minutes, skim off grease, and reheat. Add butter, chives, and parsley to the reheated liquid in the sauce pan. Pour heated liquid back over the stew. Serve hot. Makes 4-6 servings.

Blessed Bride's Cake

1 cup sugar
1 cup walnut meats, chopped
1 cup vegetable oil
1 cup golden raisins
1 cup flour
4 eggs
1 tsp. baking powder

Mix all the ingredients together until they are wet. Do not over mix. Pour into a greased and floured 9"x9"x2" square baking pan. Bake at 350 degrees for 20-30 minutes, or until knife inserted in middle of cake comes out clean. Allow to cool before serving.

Imbolc Ritual Cake

13/4 cups all-purpose flour
3/4 cup water
3/4 cup sugar
1/4 cup vegetable oil
2 tbs. poppyseeds
1 tbs. grated lemon peel
1 tsp. baking soda
2 tbs. lemon juice
1/2 tsp. salt
powdered sugar

This is all done in one pan, so clean up is a breeze! Preheat oven to 350 degrees. Mix flour, sugar, poppyseeds, baking soda, and salt with a fork in an ungreased 9"x9"x2" baking pan. Stir in the remaining ingredients, except the powdered sugar. Bake 35-40 minutes or until toothpick inserted in center of cake comes out clean, and the top is golden brown. Remove from oven and cool. Sprinkle with powdered sugar. Makes 8 servings.

theres also a silent poetry reading going on over at the spicy cauldron for imbolc too, so if you have a poem to submit read the post about it.

Pagan Graphics.

I found loads of pagan graphic sites last night, loads more than I thought there were so I'm a bit happier than I was about losing all my pictures. I've even found a site that does fantastic pagan banners called Spots free graphics , there's also a great place called hairfish graphics which has lots of great pagan graphics, loads of candles and pentacles etc.

There's also Robin woods site with some lovely animated pagan themed graphics, all sites I've mentioned let you use the graphics free as long as you link back to them, I couldn't believe my luck in finding them all.

Imbolc-February the 1st/2nd

The festival belongs to the Goddess Brigid known for her love of animals, the name imbloc refers to the lactation of ewe a’s, which brings life and heralds the coming of spring and new life. It is a time of purification so clean your house and burn any greenery left over from Yule. The post title is a link to a lovely ritual for this time of year.

It i’s also good to leave an offering of buttered bread and milk for brigid and her cow who are said to walk through the neighborhood on that night on the doorstep or window sill. You can also leave a silk ribbon for her to bless, which can later be used for healing purposes, and light acandle in very room of your house to represent the rebirth of light.

I'll post more about suitable activities for this time of year including the tradition of making straw dolls and placing them in a small basket called a brides bed, you can also use a doll that's been dressed especially for the occasion. If anyone knows of a site with directions for making your own please leave me a comment.

I'm Back!

finally got the computer working again, I've lost all my images sadly, but kept all my music and photo's wich is a relief.

I also can't access my old email adress anymore so am using my Yahoo one, which is nancyrowina@yahoo.co.uk .

I'll catch up on the Britblog backlog as soon as mark responds to my email, sorry for the delay in getting blogs reviewed.

The next pagan holiday to celebrate is imbolc, so I'll write something about that later.
