I'm Moving.

I haven't been happy where I live for years, and I've finally got an oppurtunity to move to a small cottage nearer the town. I don't know exactly when, but probably over this weekend, I don't know how long it will take to get back online when I've moved too, hopefully not long, as there is a phone line there already.
This will hopefully improve my state of mind, as I'll have less nosey neighbours to interfere in my business, and it's a better place for my cats, I have no ground floor access for them here, so they can only get in and out when I'm here to let them. In the new place they could come and go as they pleased. I just have to make sure they don't try and run back here, I'll have to seek advice for how long to keep them in before they can go out again.

I Finally Got A New Hard Drive!

The old one was getting dangerously full, and with the new Zappa Fan site I've found offering so many new Zappa gigs, I need the space.
The weather is dismal, my cat's are moaning because they can't go out when it's raining like this, as they can't get back in again without me being here where I live at the moment. I'm hoping to move to a place where they will be able to get in if I just leave a window open, but I have to come up with the deposit
Only a short post as I'm short on electricity, thanks to my commenters.

Site Claiming Jim Morrison Is Alive!

I know it's nothing new, but this site really made me laugh.

It claims He's alive and now a cowboy, and has made a movie of a shooting that happened in the old west in America, and what do you know, you can purchase a copy for $24.99.

How low can you get? The guys got brown eyes! Jim morrisons were blue!

A New Blog Map, And New Frank Zappa.

I got myself a Blog Map, it doesn't look like the Isle Of Wight, but it's got the right town name anyway. I also got myself 2 more Frank Zappa Albums "Hot Rats" and "Meets The Mothers Of Prevention". This has kept me amused for a couple of hours, there's a load of stuff out their of his if you look, this place is great , they are sharing loads of Frank Zappa bootlegs, and have a brilliant forum.
I'm also reading "The Real Frank Zappa Book", I finally found the guy who stole it from Ryde Library! It's really interesting, and I'm learning things I didn't know about him.

Another Holy Grail Quiz!

Take the quiz: "Which Holy Grail Character Are You?"

The Killer Rabbit of Caerbannog
That's the most foul, cruel, and bad-tempered rodent you ever set eyes on!

But they're just so much fun...

A New Day, And The Story Of My Dads Childhood.

The sun is out, I'm listening to Tom Petty's "Learning To Fly" always an uplifting song, and I need it right now, as I'm impoverished again. Enough to make anyone depressed, not being able to afford anything.

This is something both my parents rose above in their youth, my father was born to a slum in Stockton, Stockton is a very poor town right at the top of England, and the slums were houses built 200 years earlier for the industrial revolution. Needless to say by the 1950's they were in a terrible state, damp and without proper sanitation. His mother was very ill, she had asthma epilepsy and rheumatoid arthritis, she was also severly depressed, and commited suicide when he was 10, he came home from school and found her.

The family moved out of the slums shortly after that, and the slums were blown up, everyone moved to an estate with better housing, called Hardwick Estate, which is still there now. My dad's father married again soon after his first wifes death, contraversially to her worst enemy, called Lily. My dad was too young to understand really, but his older sister did, and this has caused a rift in our family for many years. My dad was moved between his father and his new wifes house, and his sisters house, until they all disowned him when he was 18, for taking drugs, the Final straw came when his father and step mother came home to find him on the comedown with several of his mates, they'd taken all Lilys dexadrine (formally Known as slimming pills, but banned for that purpose now because they're just speed really .) He moved out of their house to a bedsit, and later went to the Isle Of Wight with his friends to work in hotels, who were concerned about his depressed state. Tune in tomorrow for the story of my mothers childhood in the slums of London.

My Blog Is Losing Popularity!

Not that it really had that much in the first place, Hopefully I can gain some if I post a bit more regularly, I've had computer problems (my Cmos battery died) and have been away from home quite a bit recently, causing my lull in activity, it's been good for me to get out and away from the computer for a while. I've found myself a new Blinky to comfort myself over finding out I'm on the list of little visited blogs on the brit blog web site, it's the "Your so vain.." one.

My message board has finally died, so I have more time to squander on this blog, I prefer it really, It's much more self indulgent, and doesn't depend on the participation of others so much, only that you read, thank you for doing so, comments are optional. It was the way for me to go from the beginning really, if only I'd seen it. I still like to participate in message boards, but have to succomb to the fact I'm not popular enough to justify having my own (sob).

Since I was last posting regularly terrorists tried, and in some cases suceeded, to blow up parts of London again. Sad in this day and age there's still people who think they can achieve anything by killing innocent people deliberately, any sympathy anyone had for their cause immidiately is lost when they blow up innocent people anyway. An even sadder concequence of their actions is the increase in racially motivated crime, more innocent people being needlessly harmed.

I don't like posting about current affairs normally, as I am of the overall opinion our society has reached it's peak, and we are approaching our horrible end, just like the Romans, only we've got hundreds of types of horrific warfare to throw at each other. If it's not that that finish's us it will be an epidemic of an incurable illness that wipes us out, so with such a bleak out look, everything else doesn't seem very important. After all we're all just going to die horrible deaths, no matter what we do, but huge epic events like the London bombings prompt me to give some kind of reaction, even if it is just shock at what we human beings will do to each other.

I Do Remember I Have Blog.

Though it has been a while since I updated it I must confess, it's summer now, so I'm spending more time out, went to WOMAD last week, that was cool, I go nearly every year now.
I'm going to try and get on a degree course at Southampton, the criminology one. I sent of an email, just waiting to find out if i'm too late to get on it, or if there are places left, with the current trends in violent crime and behaviour (they are rising) we will soon need loads of criminal psychologists to help stem the flow of violent nutters!
